Testimonials

I took the position as People Officer in Doncaster last September and my main objective was to make all employees feel valued and to let them know that we care. I began by dealing with sickness and absence and soon realised that we had people off work with depression, stress and anxiety so I made it my mission to get them all in for Welfare meetings and see how I could help and it soon became apparent that a number of them needed professional help.

As the majority of our workforce are Polish it was essential that I found a counsellor who could converse with them in their own language as using an interpreter would not have the same effect. I was lucky enough after lots of searching to find Beata and what a wonderful working relationship we have started to build. Beata is now counselling a number of our staff and helping them deal with addiction, depression and grief and the difference this had made is unbelievable.

Finding this resource means that we have been able to get employees back in to work as they now understand that we are fully supportive of their personal circumstances and are only here to help.

What will counselling look like? Being present and having an honest dialogue that flows in the moment are the key components of counselling. It allows time to contemplate, converse and listen whilst looking inwards. I saw counselling as an act of strength because it allowed me to look back so I could look forward.

Beata has been instrumental in helping us with our employee’s wellbeing. Some employees need a little extra help and Beata goes above and beyond with her confidential counselling service.

We have had brilliant feedback from our employees, and many have returned to full health after the sessions. This has enabled the business to keep absence levels to a minimum.

Thank you Beata!
