How to survive Blue Monday

Nevertheless, we have that day in our calendars. And because we are wise, we can prepare for it. And because we have prepared some ‘remedies’ we can use them whenever, right?

I have prepared some of them for you and you can follow your imagination and prepare some more… and share them with us.

Look on the bright side – practice gratitude.

Physical activity alone or with someone – walk, take a yoga class or dance around your room or something else that you enjoy.

Set a realistic resolution – reduce your goal into baby steps.

Pamper your dog to additional walk – warm cloths for the both of you advised.

Get creative – your imagination will support you and your mood.

Share your ‘remedies’ with others – it will make you feel energised.

Eat well – it will boost your energy levels and your mood.

Laugh – it shifts your state to happiness.

Reframe Blue Monday to Brew Monday as Samaritans do.

Enjoy natural light as often as you can.

Start new uplifting playlist – listen to something that has inspirational lyrics or beats.

Change your environment – geographic distance also works, sometimes it’s enough to stand on a chair and look at the problem from above, and sometimes you have to leave the problem at home and travel a few or more miles.

Pay it forward – Random acts of kindness as beneficial to you and the other person.

Boost yourself with your own love and attention.

Spend time with others – socialising with others can lift your spirits and increase the release of oxytocin in your body.

Plan something to look forward to – there’s always tomorrow.

If you have your own ways of dealing with Blue Monday, share them with us in the comment section.

I wish you and myself the Blue Monday as colourful as it can be 😀

Beata
